Once there was this girl.
She was hurt she was horrified and she walled herself up in her house
Like a small pink giraffe
That bounced as it sailed
Across the dirty living room floor
Once there was this girl
And she carried herself like a whale without a name
She was ashamed
She bit her nails down to the quick
Made herself sick after every meal
Just the whiff of him made her dash
To the cold white pee-spotted porcelain
And hug it like it was her friend
She gave him her insides
And was left alone.
Emptied.
Again.
