somehow recoiling back
to
bitter sweet symphonies
reluctance affection and self induced fervor

i dig a dependence
more consuming than you,
so i will
turn to the blade:
i will
walk away after this passing tide,

really: id rather take my own.

the concept of you closes my eyes
and i see the futility of a situation
i cannot mouth

waltzing through falling impossibilities
a string ready to snap
back into my face
justified only by
the smear of your cheek in my unforgettable
collection

reason's constant plague
slaps me sober

enough

to leave
tonight

without breaking
the pretense of our boundaries.
